Persian Blue
The Iranian artist has known his land with admirable acumen and precision and found that this land has two main colors, earthy and sky. Then, in an astonishing discovery, he created the color Persian blue; which is the passage between the color of our broad soils and the vast sky. The color that is the product of a deep look that discovers the identity in the context of our surroundings and has become one of the fundamental elements of our national and artistic identity for many centuries.
Ahmad Reza Dalvand has been an illustrator, graphic artist, researcher, art critic and art director of several cultural and artistic publications in Iran. He has been nicknamed “Mr. Blue” by a group of art enthusiasts because of his serious interest in Persian blue.
